What time is Tiger Walk?

Tiger Walk for Auburn vs. Alabama A&M will begin at 4:30 PM CDT.

What color will Auburn fans wear for the Alabama A&M game?

Auburn Athletics is asking fans to wear ORANGE for the season opener. You, however, are your own person, and should wear whatever you want.

The game will be televised on either ESPN+ or SECN+, whatever that means!

Auburn has played A&M two times previously, beating the Bulldogs 51–7 in 2012, and 55–0 in 2016.

Sometimes people wonder where Alabama A&M is. It's right outside of Huntsville. According to the internet, on August 1 the Subway on campus was offering $3 footlong dippers.

Auburn's Hugh Freeze is undefeated in season openers as the Tigers' head coach, having won last year's debut 59–14 over UMASS. Alabama A&M wears the same colors as UMASS.

I watched part of Hugh Freeze's press conference before practice on the first day of summer camp. He still has his white watch.

I like that. I like consistency. Looks like a Casio g-shock of some kind, right? I wonder whether he's had the same one a while, or if he's bought a few just alike. I could slide down the alta Vista to see how old a picture I can find of him wearing one, but we're not doing that this time—not yet, at least. I could ask him about it at fan day, except I probably won't go—more on that in the next post.
Freeze talked about his confidence in Payton Thorne to recognize defensive looks and make the right adjustments. That sounds good.

Freeze said he doesn't want to talk any more about last year. I can relate. Ok—let's wrap this up with a thought from Coach Dye.

Winning is not the main thing. Paying the price to be able to win is what matters. (In the Arena, p. 2)

Yes, I know some folks in the Auburn family overly believe that winning is not the main thing. We have a participation-trophy-feedback-loop contingent. The balance, of course, is that the way last season ended means we hadn't been paying the price to be able to win—or, for not long enough, not consistently enough. Coach Freeze says our culture and chemistry transformation are underway. I have generally always been one to believe good times are on the way. I believe they are now.
